Stickers 4 Safety

A campaign against misogyny.

For this project I created collages in response my research into women’s rights movements. This ran along the same time period that vigils were being held for Sarah Everard. In the spirit of public protest I got these collages printed as stickers and put them up around Brighton. Whilst the imagery is tongue and cheek, it was important to me to use materials that show the warped representations of women that we consume on a daily basis. I hope that their presence in the city served as a reminder that we must continue to engage with gender based politics in order to address and move beyond the deeply ingrained misogyny in our society.

I sold the stickers and donated all the proceeds to Rape Crisis England & Wales.
